Collaboration with HMP Stoke Heath Prison
Market Drayton Town Council have recently adopted a biodiversity policy.
Councillors had a market stall on Wednesday 22 May 2024 to promote one of the initiatives within the policy which will be delivered by working in collaboration with HMP Stoke Heath prison.
The prison have kindly agreed to work alongside the council to make bird boxes, bug houses and bat boxes. Inmates will make them from recycled pallet wood which would otherwise have been thrown away, these will be installed within Town Councils areas, and offered to local residents and schools to encourage wildlife.
