Here are some of our key actions so far:

We have set up a Climate Action Working Group which meets regularly to review our Climate Change Action Plan.

We ensure that we work with partners who are committed to sustainable practices and consider their impact on the environment.

Councillors work with local groups to promote awareness of sustainability and good environmental practices.

Wherever possible we invest in and promote green technologies on our council owned facilities.

We work with Shropshire Council to promote better public transport links to the town. The town council currently subsidies the Town Circular Bus Service to help improve local transport and reduce carbon emissions.

We are proud to use peat free compost in our town’s flower displays.
