Received from Kier Highways
Dear Resident / Business Owner,
I am pleased to inform you that Kier Highways have been instructed by Shropshire Council to carry out Resurfacing Works to Resurface the Pedestrian Crossing adjacent to the Grove School.
The works are programmed to commence on the 17th August 2021, and we envisage the works being completed by the 19th August 2021. The normal working hours will be between 09:30am to 16:00pm Monday to Friday. Unfortunately, because of the nature of the works, it will be necessary to close the road to traffic during the working hours mentioned above. Every reasonable effort will be made to complete the work as soon as possible.
In order for us to undertake these works we kindly ask that you refrain from parking within the vicinity of the works during the working hours mentioned above.
During the road closure, traffic will be diverted via the local roads by a fully signed diversion route.
Inevitably there will be some disruption during these works, for which we apologise in advance. Access to frontages will be maintained up to the closure, however, please liaise with the Operatives on site.
During the closure access to the works area will be restricted to:
- Essential Highway Personnel,
- Local residents who live and reside within the road closure,
- Businesses located within the closure (if applicable),
- Pedestrians, Dismounted Cyclists and Equestrians where safe to do so,
- Emergency Service Vehicles.
Please do not hesitate to seek guidance during the undertaking of the work above from the operatives on site.
The programme is liable to change in the event of unforeseen circumstances or adverse weather. All changes will be highlighted on the Advanced Warning signs.
