The Definitive Map of Public Rights of Way

At present anyone can claim to have the Definitive Map of Public Rights of Way altered if they have sufficient evidence.

 

Applications can be made under the provisions of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and a register of all current applications is available via the Shropshire Council website. See link below:

Changes to Public Rights of Way under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act means that any claims based solely on historical evidence can only be able to be made prior to 1 January 2031.
